Government Relation and Public Policy analyst (Western Europe)

Job purpose

We are looking for a talented person who is passionate about blockchain and building relationships with Governments as well as be able to convert client’s expectations into blockchain-based solution proposals, Government’s intentions - to public policy initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform evaluation of EU, Member States & other Western Europe Governments initiatives related to Blockchain
  • Look for tenders, researches, other initiatives  financed by EU funds with focus on Blockchain rollout in EU. 
  • Look for opportunities in EU Governments, Public organizations, State owned enterprises, State Monopolies, International EU/EU based  organizations (such as NATO, etc.)  evaluating them on Blockchain deployment/pilots
  • Analyze client’s requirements and propose solutions using blockchain approach
  • Participate in preparations of proof-of-concept/pilot projects
  • Develops allies and works with coalitions including community, professional, industrial and labor associations
  • Works directly with affiliate officials and members, state legislators, advocates and policy professionals
  • Alerts GR Team to emerging trends and specific legislative/legal actions with suggested courses of action to consider
  • Provides direct assistance to Management/GR Teams in areas of Bitfury interests, analyses of EU and Member States international/local legislative initiatives, writes testimony, develops strategies and issues for campaigns.
  • Openly and Trustfully Collaborate with other team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in math/physics/computer/economics/public policy or public administration science (master preferred, or equivalent working experience)
  • Understanding of structure and principles of EU funding, models of financing, communications and negotiations (actual European practices)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, councils, affiliates, the public and established partnerships
  • Public policy development experience
  • Familiar with the various interest groups involved in relevant policy issues
  • Good understanding of Crypto/Blockchain concepts, principles, key players and markets
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently on projects and complex tasks
  • Fluent English (German, French - preferable) (be able both to speak and write)
